Disclaimer and regulatory notice.

Pension Bible is an editorial publication. We are not financial advisers and we are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The information on this site — including the calculators, comparison tables, articles, and guides — is general guidance based on publicly available data. It is not a personal recommendation. We do not know your individual circumstances, and what is right for one saver may not be right for another.

Before transferring or consolidating any pension, you should carefully consider:

  • Exit fees — some older pensions charge to leave, sometimes as a percentage of your pot
  • Guaranteed annuity rates — some pensions come with guaranteed conversion rates that can be worth tens of thousands of pounds and are lost on transfer
  • Employer contributions — leaving a workplace pension may mean you stop receiving employer top-ups
  • Tax-free cash — some older policies entitle you to more than the standard 25% tax-free lump sum
  • Investment options — the cheapest provider is not necessarily the best fit for your risk tolerance and goals

If you are unsure, speak to an FCA-regulated financial adviser. You can find one through Unbiased or VouchedFor. Pension Wise also offers free guidance for the over-50s — visit MoneyHelper.

How this site is funded

Pension Bible is a volunteer project. We are not part of any affiliate scheme, we do not take payment from providers, and we earn nothing from any link on this site. Where we link to a provider it is for reference only, so you can read their published fee schedule or product page directly.

Keeping data current

We make best efforts to keep tax bands, statutory limits, and provider fees up to date. Tax bands are reviewed each April; provider fees are re-verified periodically. Even so, rules and fees can change between our refreshes — please verify any figure against the original source before acting on it.
